Chase Purdy is a New York-based journalist currently wrapping up a narrative non-fiction book about the rise of cell-cultured meats. He also writes about the business, politics, and technology of food for Quartz. His stories have appeared in POLITICO, The New York Times and in newspapers across the United States — collected from courtrooms, crime scenes, laboratories, and the halls of government. He is a 2019 New America fellow.
When he’s not scribbling in a notebook or tweaking a lede, he can be found playing a game of shesh besh somewhere stuck in a book.
